Pickford linked with loads of clubs

Everton fee agreed days later signed whilst he is at a major tournament with England - how have they fucked about?

The transfer window is days old and they have got a new keeper and new CAM both of whom youd assume were towards the top of thier wishlist. Niang seems to be on the way too. Not too many clubs seem to be doing so well in the transfer market do they

Stones - £3.5M
Holgate - £2M
Calvert Lewin - £1.5M
Guyue - £7M
Lukaku - £28M
Fellaini - £15M
Delaofeu - £4M
Funes Mori - £9.5M

All worth or been sold for many millions more than what they cost

fair enough, when did they first make contact with both sunderland and ajax about their two signings? fact is that you do not know, so you have no idea how much fucking about there was at all. they have been linked heavily with pickford since january, odds on that they have been speaking with sunderland for months. schneiderlien they tried to buy last summer, so that took about 5/6 months of dragging out?

can you list these players that they have paid half their 'worth' for?

fact is mate, once again you are spouting absolute rubbish because you think it sounds impressive, when the reality is you don't have a scooby.

No Trev i've said that they dont fuck about dragging transfers out for weeks on end. They get it done. Pickford and Klassen tied up in a matter of days.Same for Lookman & Schneiderlin in Jan.

Asides, even if they do ring up and pay the asking price for each club......nearly every signing theyve made lately is worth more then what they paid....and in some its over double. Can't exactly slate them for it.

Any fucking has been or underperforming player our PL rivals want rid of, exception being Ibrahimovic (although he is on a free I believe).

Now if the club want to be serious about sell on fees and making a difference then Kylian Mbappé would make me feel we mean business. But never going to happen.

How do you know they didn't negotiate? haggle? how do you know they didn't argue with Chelsea over Lukaku, or anyone else for that matter? You are making it sound like they've rang each club, asked how much, and immediately paid whatever the asking price is, when the fact of the matter is you know absolutely nothing of the sort.

soundbites once again.

Whilst the bigger clubs and the more ambitious have moved on and looking at spending 30m - 80m + on single players and spending hundreds of millions in total, our owners still apoear to think 20m on one player is a huge amount and that seems to be our ceiling.
I still reckon they will sign one player for 20m and then another 20m in total on another 2 or 3 players and supliment this with loans and freebies again.
Trying to loan Hart when City want to sell, why, what is the point, do we not know enough about him already, are we planning to loan him for only one season and send him back? If he is deemed good enough to be our number one then fucking buy him.
Build a fucking team instead of this constant revolving door every summer.
Fucking clueless tight cunts will never learn or change.
We left the Boleyn to compete with the bigger clubs yet still clubs like Everton and Southampton have more money and are better run.
May as well have stayed out.
Added to that there is still no med - long term plan or style of play judging by the varied ages and types of strikers we are linked with

Holgate, Lookman, Lukaku, Gueye, Calvert-Lewin, Funes-Mori

All players that have improved at Everton and worth more than what they paid for them (Lookman aside)

They have a manager willing to play younger players and a chairman willing to invest in a clear transfer strategy

They bought Lookman, we bought Snodgrass.....

Absolutely crucial, agreed. But hand in hand with that at times we also need to capitalise on players whose value has rocketed. It's not about being a selling club or a buying club - it's about making the clever decisions that are best for long term benefit.

All rumours for all the players mentioned.

We need a class striker in! if Batshuyi is worth 30 mill, offer 40 million!
If Iheanacho comes with a two year buy back option? do it!
Pay Giroud 100,000 a week and give Arsenal 20 million!

Trev

I don't know that but I do know that they signed him for £28m. That's all that matters. Of course there would have been some negotiation but they took the plunge and signed him. £28m back then was a lot of money but he was a proven Premier League striker.

I agree about Pickford. The talk of £30m is just media bullshit. At £18m up front and the rest based on likely success, we should have been involved. A decent keeper adds so much. Look at Spurs since they signed Lloris. Pickford is decent now and has so much potential.

stepney hammer 3:57 Fri Jun 16
Re: Those on here who doubt our transfer policy...
Shane Long, who inexplicably is still being linked to us.

Also Martin Braithwaite who keeps getting linked also. He may turn out to be decent, just very fucking underwhelming after Iheanacho, Batshuayi and Giroud are being talked about.

tbf mate how do you know everton just paid chelsea's asking price with no quibbles? how do you know that chelsea didn't ask for 40m? or 35m? and they negotiated?

sorry mate but so much of this is specualation and people are slating the board on the basis of it.

look at pickford, for instance. 30m was mentioned as an asking price. have everton paid 30m? no, they have paid 18m, with 12 in various clauses that may or may not even get fulfilled.

Re: Those on here who doubt our transfer policy...
As Joe C says below, it might not have been by design but we effectively sold the best part of 40 million worth of players last season (Payet, Tomkins) .

The transfers are key to us and we need to start buying players with some resale value.

Trevor B 3:54 Fri Jun 16

or of course you could look at the full story for onyekuru, and that is the 7.8m release clause is only valid for clubs in belgium. the club dont WANT 9m, it has been suggested in the media that, due to him not qualifying for a work permit through international games played, we would have to pay around 9m in order to gain the relevant points needs to qualify for a work permit under the 'special talent' clause.

none of this is official, as far as i am aware though.
